The Praia D'El Rey Golf & Beach Resort is on the Atlantic coast
an easy one hour drive north of Lisbon. Within the resort there are
restaurants at the Marriott Hotel and the golf Club House. In the
surrounding towns and villages there are dozens more offering
excellent food and wine at low prices. Fresh fish caught in the
Atlantic by Peniche fishing boats is a specialty, particularly in
Obidos, a spectacular walled town and World Heritage Site. The
resort has pine and eucalyptus woods on one side and miles of golden
sandy beaches on the other. Many of the beaches are popular with
surfers and body boarders while others, like Baleal, are perfect for
families who just want to paddle and sunbathe.
GOLF AT PRAIA D'EL REY
Praia D'El Rey Golf & Beach Resort enjoys a prime beach-front
location near the medieval walled town of Obidos in the heart of the
Silver Coast. For golfers the main attraction is the 18 hole par 72
championship links course which is set in extensive grounds of pine
forest and undulating dunes with spectacular views over the Atlantic
and the Berlengas Islands. Golden Eagle is a 40 minute drive and the
Lisbon Coast courses are equally accessible.

WELCOME TO THE LISBON COAST…
The International Association of Golf Tour Operators named the
Lisbon Coast as the 2003 "Golf Destination of the Year",
ahead of the Algarve, Andalucia and the other established
Continental golfing treasures. The Lisbon Coast is studded with a
cluster of golfing jewels. Bathed in sunshine for almost 275 days of
the year and between 2 and 3 hours from most European cities, it
offers an attractive alternative to the enlightened golfer. The area
may not be as well known as the Algarve but a growing number of
golfers seeking a supreme sporting challenge that won't break the
bank are enjoying the area before it gets on the tourist map. The 18
hole par 72 championship links course was designed by the American
architect Cabell B. Robinson, listed as Portugal's best course in
the 2002/2003 Peugeot Golf Guide and rated 13th Best Continental
Europe golf course by Golf World magazine. The course is set in
extensive grounds of pine forest and undulating dunes with
spectacular views over the Atlantic. With nine holes wending through
the pine trees and nine hugging the Atlantic cliffs Praia D'El Rey
is a demanding test where the premium is on accuracy - don't expect
to finish your round with the ball you started with! With Golden
Eagle, Penha Longa and Oitavos about an hour from Praia D'El Rey
this is a great base for golfing holiday.

THE
TENNIS CLUB
The tennis club has seven all-weather courts and a Club House
with changing facilities and a café. Courts can be hired by the
hour or by the day and one of the courts doubles as a football pitch.
Pedro Felner and Miguel Moreira run the Praia D'El Rey Tennis
Centre. Pedro is licensed in Physical Education and Sport and
Qualified to Portuguese Tennis Federation Level II. Pedro is a
Director of Caldas da Rainha Tennis Club and Trainer of the
Portuguese Junior Team. The Tennis Centre has a range of training
and tuition packages and prices to help you improve your game.

VILLAGE DESCRIPTION
Aldeia Portucale
Aldeia Portucale benefits from a privileged position within Praia
D’El Rey, near the Club House it consists on three blocks of 36
apartments in total.
The apartments, distributed for two, three and four bedrooms with
areas between 111 m2 and 198 m2, are all turned to west enjoying of
